👋 Welcome to Bellevue College’s InfoSec Club!#

We are the Information Security (InfoSec) Club at Bellevue College, dedicated to helping students explore the exciting world of cybersecurity. Our mission is to empower students through hands-on learning, collaboration, and community engagement. Whether you’re new to cybersecurity or already have some experience, our club offers opportunities for everyone to grow, learn, and connect with others who share a passion for security.

🎯 What We Do#

We host a variety of events and activities designed to help you build your cybersecurity skills, including:

• 🛠 Workshops & Seminars: Learn about essential cybersecurity topics, tools, and techniques. Our workshops cover everything from basic networking and Linux commands to advanced penetration testing and digital forensics, often led by experienced members.
• 🏆 Capture the Flag (CTF) Competitions: Test your skills in CTF events where you solve security challenges and puzzles that mimic real-world scenarios. These events are great for practicing problem-solving and working as a team.
• 🎤 Guest Speakers: Hear from professionals in the field of cybersecurity. Our guest speakers provide valuable insights into industry trends, career advice, and emerging threats in the digital world.
• 🧑💻 Projects & Hackathons: Collaborate with peers on hands-on projects, participate in hackathons, and gain practical experience by tackling security challenges. These projects are a great way to showcase your skills and build your resume.

🚢 Our Resources#

We’re proud to offer exclusive access to club-managed resources that help members practice and hone their skills:

• Proxmox Servers: Our two DELL R620 servers, nicknamed “FitzRoy” and “Taranaki,” run on Proxmox and host a variety of virtual environments. Members can use these servers to practice CTF challenges, set up Docker sandboxes, or explore vulnerable machines in a safe, controlled setting.
