About InfoSec Club
π Welcome to Bellevue College’s InfoSec Club!
We are the Information Security (InfoSec) Club at Bellevue College, dedicated to helping students explore the exciting world of cybersecurity. Our mission is to empower students through hands-on learning, collaboration, and community engagement. Whether you’re new to cybersecurity or already have some experience, our club offers opportunities for everyone to grow, learn, and connect with others who share a passion for security.
π― What We Do
We host a variety of events and activities designed to help you build your cybersecurity skills, including:
- π Workshops & Seminars: Learn about essential cybersecurity topics, tools, and techniques. Our workshops cover everything from basic networking and Linux commands to advanced penetration testing and digital forensics, often led by experienced members.
- π Capture the Flag (CTF) Competitions: Test your skills in CTF events where you solve security challenges and puzzles that mimic real-world scenarios. These events are great for practicing problem-solving and working as a team.
- π€ Guest Speakers: Hear from professionals in the field of cybersecurity. Our guest speakers provide valuable insights into industry trends, career advice, and emerging threats in the digital world.
- π§π» Projects & Hackathons: Collaborate with peers on hands-on projects, participate in hackathons, and gain practical experience by tackling security challenges. These projects are a great way to showcase your skills and build your resume.

π’ Our Resources
Weβre proud to offer exclusive access to club-managed resources that help members practice and hone their skills:
- Proxmox Servers: Our two DELL R620 servers, nicknamed “FitzRoy” and “Taranaki,” run on Proxmox and host a variety of virtual environments. Members can use these servers to practice CTF challenges, set up Docker sandboxes, or explore vulnerable machines in a safe, controlled setting.
